In defense of those of you who wear those barefoot shoes: http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/news/20100127/barefoot-running-laced-with-health-benefits
135lbs 19rds flat
65lbs 17 rounds? or was it 16? something like that and 3 hang power cleans
Thanks Trey for the heads-up — the original article on barefoot running (the one cited by WebMD) just made the cover of the top science journal, Nature. The scientists behind that Nature article showed that barefoot runners tend to experience less impact on their feet than shoe-wearing runners, due to differences in the way their feet strike the ground. Viva la Five Fingers revolution!
16 +4+3 RX’ed
Jake can we get crossfitrva custom ones? I really think matching gym five toes should be the next gym item.
20rds + 3dl
Thanks for the link, Trey. I try to base what say on real science and data. Barefootish running and footwear is one of those things that I’ve tried to encourage all along. There is a running technique called Pose running that helps to mimic barefoot running. It encourages forefoot striking as opposed to heel striking. Google it if you’re interested!
It’s pretty interesting. I may invest in some of those and try it out…im sure it takes some getting used to.
