This Saturday June 20th, we will be hosting another free community workout event!
The workout for both advanced and newer CrossFitters alike that will start at 10AM.
After the workout, we will have a cookout with grilled food that will be from 11:30AM-1:30PM !
This is a potluck event, so bring a good dish you can share. We will provide lean meats and a KEG. You don’t want to miss out on this.
***This is for all skill levels so bring a friend or family member you like to workout and sweat with!
Starting this Friday we will be holding a monthly happy hour at a set location where people can come and hang out with each other outside of the gym!
Feel free to bring a friend, roommate, or family member.

All regularly scheduled classes will be cancelled on Memorial Day, Monday May 25th. We’ll be running the workout “Murph” at select times in remembrance of military personnel who have died in service.

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it. “

Have you ever been curious about Crossfit but have questions or concerns keeping you from trying it out?
This Saturday, February 21st, we will be hosting a Crossfit Kickstart class at 10:30am. This is a no pressure, workout-optional introduction to Crossfit, giving you time to learn about our program and ask the questions that are most important to you.
We will be going over topics such as:
What is Crossfit?
What kind of equipment do you use?
How fast do results happen?
Is it like a bootcamp? How is it different?
What should I wear to my first class? Should I bring anything special?
Is Crossfit dangerous?
Can anyone do Crossfit?
How should you eat when doing Crossfit?
What can I expect during a class?
This information session will include a tour of the gym, and conclude with an optional workout appropriate for all skill levels. This class is FREE so make sure to bring anyone that has wondered about Crossfit!

Blast from the Past Byrd Park Workout this Saturday!
We will be hosting the Alpha Strongman Competition all day Saturday so Svetlana will be running a outdoor class this Saturday at the birthplace of Crossfit RVA.

Who: This workout is open to anyone that wants to come out! Bring your friends, family, fellow crossfitter from another gym. We encourage you to show your support by wearing a CFRVA shirt!
